Back To School Event
Located in Vista, Operation Hope North County is a 45-bed shelter that provides a safe, caring, and supportive environment for families with children and single women experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and reclaim independence. At Operation Hope residents regain emotional stability, learn the skills for financial well-being, and create healthy relationships and establish housing stability.

WHAT: | Arrive early to distribute School Supplies to Operation Hope’s Kids and serve Breakfast. Girlfriends Care meeting to learn about this impactful organization. Dress is Saturday Casual! |
WHEN: | Saturday, August 10th, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (please note time change!) |
WHERE: | Operation Hope Park at Operation Hope’s Office location: 840 Townsite Dr., Vista CA |
WHY: | Provide School Supplies and Breakfast for Kids and their Families |
HOW: | RSVP NOW to RSVPNC@girlfriendscare.org AND let us know if you’d like to bring a breakfast dish (must be commercially made) to share. Be sure to bring a friend or two! |
The first day of school for VUSD kids is August 15, so let’s make sure they arrive ready to learn! There are currently 22 children, and extra supplies are needed as new families move in during the school year.
At last count there are 3 preschool children, 3 girls and 6 boys are elementary age, 4 middle school girls and 4 girls and 2 boys are high school age.
