Connecting Those Who Care To Those In Need!

The mission of Girlfriends Care, Inc. is to connect volunteers to meaningful outreach, primarily to help women and children in crisis and transition locally, and to do that we offer a “smorgasbord of outreach” from which to choose.  Our philosophy has always been for our volunteers to discover their passion area…where their heart is…then step forward to utilize their gifts, talents, and treasures to fulfill that calling.

When we do not currently offer certain volunteer opportunities, we choose to connect our volunteers to other non-profits to fit their personal passions…to feel that tug on their heartstrings.  None of us have been called to “do it all ourselves”.

Our sincerest thank you to our Non-Profit Partner Organizations below:

“Girlfriends Care provides an opportunity to live your compassion. Through GFC you can can link with others in whatever way is meaningful to you. Everyone comes together inspired by their capacity to care. It begins based on the realization that life changes for the better through one kindness at a time, by one friend at a time meeting one need at a time.  Each step in the right direction is huge no matter how big or small. The spirit of a community is defined by the goodness of its people.”

Girlfriends Care has been supporting The Family Recovery Center in Oceanside for several years and we are very grateful for their support and love.  Girlfriends Care has reached out to both the women and children in our facility in areas from a Christmas Toy Drive to bring the holiday spirit to “our home”, to Life Skills Classes which enable the women to become productive citizens in the community. The volunteer and service oriented attitude of the Girlfriends Care volunteers relays a passion to “give back” and we are blessed to have them include The Family Recovery Center in their work.
